This year marks the 25th anniversary of the R-121! The R-121 25th Anniversary version celebrates the heritage of this model by offering an exclusive and limited finish called "Distressed Rose". This finish gives the microphone a unique and versatile appearance: a dark bourbon hue in low light conditions in the studio or on stage, and a beautiful pink colour in brighter light. We haven't changed the design and functionality of the classic R-121, but this exceptional finish allows us to include everyone in the celebration of its 25th anniversary! Only 500 units of the R-121 Distressed Rose will be made, not one more.
Released in 1998, the R-121 revolutionised the world of modern ribbon microphones. It was the forerunner of a great renaissance of these microphones, which continues to this day. The R-121 is indispensable for electric guitars around the world, and is also considered one of the best choices for brass instruments, bass drums, drum rooms, pianos, snare drums, acoustic guitars, violins, all kinds of percussion, harps, cellos... the list goes on.
