Rupert neve design Shelford Channel

Over fifty years in development, Rupert Neve's Shelford Channel preamp is the evolution of the original technologies in Rupert's classic console modules such as the 1073, 1064, 1081 and 2254, carefully advanced and refined for the 21st century studio. The Shelford Channel preamp is built around Rupert Neve's first new Class A transformer-gain microphone preamp in over 40 years, the Shelford 5052's "best in class" inductive EQ section, a sonically rich diode bridge compressor, Silk's variable saturation analogue power, a new dual-tap transformer output stage to maintain headroom or allow full channel drive without the clipping of standard converters, and twice the operating voltage of vintage models.
