The XL-Desk by SSL is a high-end analog console featuring 20 channels and an 18-unit Serie 500 rack. It is designed for audio engineers looking to integrate analog sound into their digital audio workstation without the hassles of control, automation, or synchronization with your DAW. Its purpose is clear: to focus solely on sound quality.

The 20 channels consist of 16 mono double-input channels (standard or DAW returns) and 4 stereo channels. It has 4 mix buses: A, B, C, and D, with the ability to sum buses B, C, and D onto bus A. Each channel is equipped with a stereo CUE bus section, allowing the return signals sent to this bus to be mixed with Mix A.

The renowned SSL Stereo Bus Compressor occupies slots 17/18, providing the option to apply it to your mix. Considering the entire audio chain, you can manage up to 50 inputs in summation!

The Control Room section allows you to manage up to 3 pairs of speakers and a subwoofer (with low-pass filtering), as well as 2 return circuits with talkback and a microphone line for the control room.
