The WA-1B faithfully recreates a highly sought-after Scandinavian compression, appreciated by producers and engineers alike from Chris Lord-Alge to Rick Rubin. Combining the warmth of a tube optical circuit, with precision controls, the WA-1B delivers that 'indulgent' musical compression, with speed and control more closely associated with modern dynamics processing. Hand-wired to respect the sonic identity of its predecessor, the WA-1B combines large-core transformers from Lundahl Sweden, selected tubes from JJ and Tung-Sol, and a high-precision optical cell offering ultra-fast operation, while delivering authentic analogue warmth.
