1959 saw the advent of several important feature changes to the Stratocaster® including a slab rosewood fingerboard with clay position dots, a three-ply mint green pickguard with 8, 9 or 10 screws depending on the month it was built, and a metal spacer added to the string tree. This FENDER Custom Shop Time Machine Vintage Custom '59 Hardtail Strat Time Capsule Package (9235001542) would have been on the rare side, which ups the collectability and cool factors. This guitar features a hand-selected two-piece alder body and a rift-sawn maple neck with a 1959 "D" profile, a vintage compound-radius (7.25" - 9.5") rosewood fingerboard and 21 medium vintage frets.

Hand-wound 1959 Strat pickups are wired to a vintage '59 control assembly and five-way switch. Other features include Closet Classic hardware, three-ply eight-hole mint green pickguard, vintage-style hardtail bridge with patent pending saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree with metal spacer.
Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
