Double cut e-gitarre

The PRS SE Mark Holcomb solid body electric guitar delivers addictive playability thanks to some unique specifications, including a 24-fret, 25.5” scale length wide thin satin maple neck with 20” radius ebony fretboard. Holcomb’s signature pickups provide the right amount of output and articulation whether you’re playing sophisticated chords or solos and whether you’re playing alone or working in the mix of a band. Other specifications include a quilted maple veneer, black chrome hardware, and a 3-way blade pickup switch with push/pull tone knob for coil splitting.

The band Periphery has become a force to be reckoned with in the progressive metal scene thanks to their complex rhythms and soaring melodies. Guitarist Mark Holcomb helps achieve this full, lethal sound with his PRS guitars and signature Seymour Duncan Alpha and Omega pickups. PRS and Holcomb have worked closely together to develop a truly unique guitar for the SE Series lineup.

J'ai pu la tester sur mon Orange micro terror et Marshall origine 20 avec baffle 1x12 Orange

Les + :
+ Aspect démentiel avec un look passe partout pas trop agressif et lutherie correcte pour ce prix
+ Instrument bien balancé et doté d'un très bon sustain
+ Les micros qui, selon moi, sont sous licence (non made in USA) mais qui offrent une variété de tonalités incroyable pour ce prix.
+ Le manche effet brossé a une forme C presque D ce qui permet d'y jouer aussi bien un bon riff blues-rock qu'un bon solo dans les aigu
+ Le binding sur le manche rajoute un toucher qualitatif au manche et à la sensation de jeu
+ course des potards complète et graduelle, non atténuation du son lors du réglage de la tonalité.

Les - :
- soucis sur les potards endommagés surement pendant l'envoi rendant une sensation un peu cheap mais fonctionnel ( à voir dans le temps)
- le sillet un peu saillant et quelques coulures de vernis (rien de rédhibitoire)
- tunners qui ne tiennent que modérément l'accord (à changer si vous faites de la scène, parfaitement satisfaisant pour la maison)
- réglage sortie d'usine moyen, un petit tour chez un luthier ne fera pas de mal pour sortir tout le potentiel de cette guitare.

En conclusion :
Très bonne guitare pour 1000 euro avec des micros qui sortent du lot et une polyvalence de jeu incroyable. L'électronique est à surveiller car cela pourrait être son point faible dans le temps.
Néanmoins je recommande amplement à ce prix là.

Attention la guitare est faite en Indonésie et la table en érable est un vernis cela n'entache en rien la qualité de construction mais il bon de le savoir.
